Denim DIY

Firstly, I am SO SO SO sorry for the lack of posts recently. It's very very inconsiderate of me.
This full-time job thing is taking its toll, but I'm getting used to it, so blogging will now resume as normal I hope!

Now, about a month ago I posted an idea of mine (and everybodys) to DIY a pair of denim shorts with studs. The shorts are last years Topshop. I ordered the studs off ebay and there were so cheap! The only downside is that they came from Hong Kong so I've been waiting for over a month to get them. But it's worth the wait.

Before...plain jane.

After..

I decided to keep the look simple and not go too overboard. It's really easy to do, so it's very tempting to just 'keep on studding!'.
In terms of actually doing this - its so simple. You push the studs through the material and then bend the spikes down to secure them in place.
BUT USE A POUND COIN! The spikes can start to hurt after a while. So using a coin is easier and less painful for your little pinkies!

It's a just a simple way to update a pair of shorts ready for the summer! And you can do it with any item of clothing, or even accessories. I might buy a cheap black clutch bag and spice it up a bit with a few studs! We shall see...

I promise to keep on posting guys and girls! Enjoy the beautiful warm evening tonight! This may be all the summer we get!

Love.

Panda eyes suck...

If I was stranded on an island and could only take one beauty product with me, it would be mascara. I love long and pretty eye lashes that make your eyes appear more open!
To me, it's a beauty 'must-have!'
For years I have bought 'Max Factor False Lash Effect Fushion, Volume & Length
Sorry for the awful picture, my camera on my phone is useless and my digital camera is charging! Anyway, this mascara is amazing! It separates my eyelashes beautifully, doesn't clump, and does exactly what it says on the outside.
I would recommend this one to anyone who likes a 'fuller' look. At around £11 it's not cheap, but if you want a good mascara from the high street brands, then it's a pretty good buy.

About a week ago, Max Factor brought out a new version! It's called 'False Lash Effect, Bold Volume for up to 24 hours'.

Again, awful picture!
I'm always up for trying out something new, especially when it comes to beauty products and I was really excited about trying a newer version of the mascara I love!
Unfortunately...
Each time I've worn this product I get really bad panda eyes. It's absolutely rubbish. It doesn't make my eyelashes look 'full' at all, and it just doesn't 'go on' properly.
Within a few hours the mascara makes its way down my face and I look like I've been rubbing my eyes every minute of the day.
It also takes ages to remove it all!
So to conclude, do not buy the 24 hour mascara unless you like the panda look..

Take it from me, choose the purple one NOT the black one. SIMPLES!

Hand candy..

I would say I'm an average jewellery fan. I love rings, hair accessories and the odd earring for my random ear piercing! But when it comes to necklaces', earrings and watches I'm a little useless.
ASOS is one of my all time favourite online shopping sites...it has EVERYTHING! plus, free delivery, therefore everything I buy is justified. I know you'll all agree!
I had a little gander the other night at the rings and fell in love with these...

I was originally looking for three plain bands, but they had sold out! I believe they are now back in stock so I may be purchasing those - if I do I shall link you up :)
Anyway, I went for these crosses which so far, every time I wear them, I get many many compliments. Girls just love them...so if you like this sort of look, head to ASOS .. for £8 they are definitely worth it.
Oh, and they're adjustable so will fit any finger shape - big or small! :) Not that any fingers are 'big'!

Shopping is my downfall.

Hello beautiful people.
I start my new job next week and I have zero work clothes! This will be my first 'proper' full-time job which will hopefully kick start my career.
The first thing I did was make a list of all the clothes I'll need for my new job! This is what I do best.
My style is quite laid back, and pretty I guess. I like blouses, shirts, tapered trousers and blazers. I decided on a colour scheme to create my work capsule wardrobe! This is quite geeky I know, but I'm awful for buying an item of clothing which is lovely, but doesn't really go with anything!
Here is one of my new work shirts...

I'm a sucker for Zara! I tried this on and the fabric feels amazing and it falls really well. At £30 it isn't cheap, but I'll definitely get my wear out of it! I bought a couple of other things, but I still need shoes, blouses, a mac, a bag, cardigans and a diary!
I'm shopping with my mother tomorrow and she only lets me buy 'good' shoes, so I'll be rather skint soon.
About a week ago, I wandered through Oasis - bad idea! I fell in love with this blazer and if that happens, my bank balance suffers slightly. Here it is..

I can dress it up and dress it down - perfect! It cost around £60. Tut tut!
Anyway, that's all for now, I'm really really hungry and when food is on my mind, nothing else matters.
Byeeeeeeeeeeee!

The complete set..

Boys and girls! Sorry for my lack of blogging lately. I've been really busy this week doing bits and bobs. I also had my brothers engagement party!
Now, first of all I just want to say how much I love the brand Liz Earle. I bought their cleanser a few weeks ago and reviewed it in a previous post. I loved it so much I emailed Liz Earle and they kindly sent me the next two steps of the cleansing process! How amazing is that!
I received the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic, (which smells amazing by the way) and the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for dry/sensitive skin. There are a few combinations you can get in this moisturiser so make sure you choose the right one for your skin :)
I'm going to try them out for a week or two so I can give you a proper review. I've never had a full set of cleansing products from the same brand so I'm super excited to try these bad boys out!

Beautifully wrapped by Liz Earle!

My complete cleansing set to make my skin healthy!
I shall post my review very soon peeps :)
